Aloha, my name is Alicia Chuang and I'm the Administrative Dean in HCAS. I was born in Taiwan but raised in Paraguay (South America), graduating from an American School. I then came back to Taiwan to pursue my dream as a teacher, I entered into National Changhua University of Education. I earned my Master degree in TESOL from Bristol University (England). I had 10 years of teaching experiences plus administrative experiences in bilingual and private education system.
Hello, My name is Winnie. I have many different tasks at our school. For example, I help to plan and support school wide events as well as extracurricular activities. I also schedule the school bus. Finally, I assist with activities for K3 students.

Admissions and Marketing
My name is Rich, I am the Admission and Marketing Associate. I was born in Hsin-Chu and had spent over 10 years in the States studying and working. I graduated from the Boston Conservatory with a Music Education Masters degree, and a music teacher certification in Massachusetts.
During the 10 year span in the States, I lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Boston. In addition to my position at HCAS, I am a musician and was a music teacher in Massachusetts. I play almost every instrument that’s in the orchestra, but the three instruments I’m most proficient at are piano, saxophone, and trumpet.
Besides my job and music, I love sports, video games, and study about cars. I am a Seattle Mariners, Seahawks fan, and my favorite car show is Top Gear UK with Clarkson, Hammond, and May, and the Grand Tour.
Director of General Affairs
My name is Christine and I am in charge of the General Affairs at HCAS. This entails purchasing, security, cafeteria, maintenance, as well as helping out with the needs of the kindergarten and field trips!
Hi, I’m Walker Chen, a staff member of both General Affairs and Student Affairs Departments. I wear many different hats in HCAS.
For General Affairs Department, I help order supplies and teaching aids as I also deal with purchasing requests and paper works. In addition, I make sure that the cafeteria is working properly. In Student Affairs, I deal with discipline issues. I work as a channel between students, teachers, and parents when there’s a misunderstanding.
Lastly, I’m also a secret member of Art and Human Resources (H.R.) Department. I design posters, letterhead, signs, etc. on a weekly basis. For H.R., I’m in charge of Work Permit, VISA, ARC applications for international faculty members and staff.
My name is Fighter and I take care of many things at school. From electric lighting and refrigeration air-conditioning system management; fire equipment and sewage water supply system management; electrical equipment system management; and to engineering project improvement assessment and construction, you can count on me to make the school run smoothly.
Hi, my name is Sharlin and I am the school nurse. I am responsible for the well-being of both the teachers and students here at HCAS. I also provide counseling for those who are experiencing difficulties in their personal lives.
Here at HCAS library, we hope to assist your children not only in mastering the English language, but also grasping a better understanding to the world that surrounds them. Therefore, the focal points of the school librarian are the followings: To maintain a safe and encouraging environment for students in their advance for higher education. To introduce youngsters to a wide variety of literature of all forms. And finally, to discover and acquire materials that are appropriate in an academic setting.
Dr. Durgesh Samadhiya
After completing my master's degree in Computer Application from the College of Engineering at Roorkee, India. I completed my Ph.D. in Information Management at Chung Hua University, Taiwan. I also published in number of peer reviewed international journals and conferences. I've participated in many conferences as keynote speaker, technical chair, and guest for delivering lectures in different conference and universities.
After completing my Ph.D., I worked with the Taiwanese government research center named “National Applied Research Laboratories” with collaboration from “National Chiao Tung University”. I successfully completed multiple proposals for government projects. On top of all that, I am also the Editor in Chief for multiple academic journals and a member of multiple research and development societies. My research and development career continues on.
Here at HCAS, I manage the desktops, network systems, help desk, school resources as well as providing top tier support to all the teachers and staff. I also help to manage the website. Other than my IT duties, I also manage the science labs with supply orders for the school.
